The entrance to the Mausoleum is on the west. This gives access only to the square lower tier which contains a life sized marble statue of Charles, 2nd Marquis of Rockingham within a circular room. There is no access to the sarcophagus on the second tier. Like the other Wentworth follies, the Mausoleum has suffered from mining subsidence and stands uneven. | ||||
