As you step from the drive into the circular clearing, your first sight of the Mausoleum is from the north west.

The Mausoleum's three tiers, rising to a height of 90 feet, dwarf the nearest, north-western obelisk.

From this angle, the sarcophagus is hidden behind the walls and columns of the arches forming the second tier.
