The eastern face of the pyramid. A scattering of holes about 4 feet from the ground appears to be targeted musket fire such as would result from the execution of two individuals by firing squad. If this is the case, the deed was either an illegal and secret act or the pyramid was already built by the time of the 2nd Jacobite uprising in 1745, or even the Civil War, 1642-51. | ||||
