In 1997, Rolande Geneve, of Isere in France, was killed by a falling oak that she had grown from an acorn before the start of WWII. 17 year old Erskine Lawrence Ebbin, of Hamilton in the U.S.A., was killed on July 20th, 1975, when he was knocked off his moped by a taxi. Exactly the same thing had happened a year earlier to his older brother when he was 17 - the same moped, the same taxi, the same driver, the same passenger, the same street, the same date. In September, 1998, a 7-year-old boy fell off a 100-foot-high bluff near Ozark, Arkansas, after he lost his grip swinging on a cross that marked the spot where another person had fallen to his death in 1990. A 49-year-old San Francisco stockbroker, who "totally zoned when he ran", according to his wife, accidentally jogged off a 200-foot-high cliff on his daily run. |
