Meg's birthdate is 7/6/2002. She has been with David, Chris and Grough since 27/11/2003.
Grough was born on 9/11/2000 and came to live with David and Chris on 6/1/2001 -- the first Epiphany of this millennium.
Being a Gemini, Meg has two natures: one is a soft, loving pet who will sit for ages with her head on David's lap having her ears fondled; the other is a vicious killer who is off like a shot after every mouse, rabbit, squirrel, cat, sheep, magpie, wasp and bee. She has been known to run 10 foot (3 metres) vertically up a tree trunk after a squirrel.
Like many whose birth sign is Scorpio, Grough is wary of putting too much effort into any form of exercise or endeavour. It takes five minutes to get him in the car and ten to get him out. Dinner requires a superhuman effort on our part in encouraging Grough to bother coming to his dish before Meg finishes her food and starts on his. We put up with him only for his insight into the meaning of life and the profundity of his wit. At stick throwing play, where Meg waits for the stick to be thrown before racing after the nearest rabbit, Grough is much given to wandering off a short distance and waiting for the stick to be thrown to him. He has never been known to run when bringing back a stick or a ball.
